I was drawn to this recipe because it was a slow cooker recipe and it was healthy. Truly, I didn’t think it would wow me but rather fill an eternal hungry belly. But, this concoction of deliciousness made me a believer that healthy can also be tasty.
Full disclosure, I misread the original recipe…which class for 2 (4-oz.) links fully cooked sweet Italian chicken sausage, chopped. I’m not sure how I mistook 2 links for 5 but I did. Every time I make it I use 5 links.
